WHAT IS AN "ORAL HISTORY"?
An oral history is a way of documenting and sharing historical events through the stories of those who have witnessed them. Firsthand observers give verbal accounts of their lives, adding an emotional and fundamentally human layer to our understanding of history and its impact on nations, communities, and individuals.
WHERE DO OUR ORAL HISTORIES COME FROM?
The Latino History Project of Worcester interviews members of our community from all walks of life in order to preserve the rich cultural heritage that flows through our city. We are dedicated to presenting an authentic image of what it means to be latino in Worcester. If you would like to add your story to our collections, contact us!
